This spalted live edge vanity shelf comes from a slab that the tree spent decades building — and it shows. The front edge doesn't just follow one contour. It steps and layers in multiple tiers, each level revealing a different cross-section of grain, a different depth of the original log, amber and dark spalt marks running through all of it like ink through water.

Spalting is what happens when fungi work through wood before harvest — unpredictable, unrepeatable, and entirely impossible to fake. Every dark streak and amber flare on this slab existed before any tool touched it.

A solid wood bracket at the right side supports the shelf in the same material — no metal, no contrast, just wood holding wood.

Pair it with a figured wood vessel sink and the bathroom stops being a room and starts being a place.
